| Climate and weather | Due to the rather hilly terrain Szécsény and its surroundings has various micro-climates. Annual mean temperature is 8.5-9.5 °C. Climate is usually moderately cool and moderately dry, characterized by a relatively low number of sunshine hours (1,850-1,900 hours). It is greatly influenced by the 400-700 m elevation between the mountains and the basins. Annual precipitation is around 600 mm. The number of snowy days vary between 40 and 90 days. Prevailing wind is N-NW and W. |
